Crazy Weekend

This weekend was insane!! The brakes on the minivan went from pad to grinding the the rotors!! No warning at all!! Everytime we used the brakes, the sound was horrible. It sounded like the wheel was falling off! Scary!
Our friends came over for dinner and then we ran over to the open house reception for a friend of ours who just got married. There was only a few people there, but only the host the bride and groom, and one family made us feel welcome. The bride and groom were very friendly, but understandably they were talking to everyone equally. They welcomed all their guests and talked with them for a little bit, and moved on to the next person. It was like no one really cared that we were there. We had looked so forward to going and then it was like we had made a mistake in going. Oh well, you learn and you move on.
We ended up at our friends' house after that to watch a movie. We were going to swim, but it was too late.
Sunday, of course church and then back to our friends' for dinner and swimming! The kids love to swim, but unfortunately do not like to have to stop and go home. Amber refused to get out and when she did, she splashed me and I was fully clothed. SO the next time we go swimming she is not allowed to go at all!
Monday their Social Worker came over to meet us and them. She told us that we need to take the water safety class, in order to be able to let them go swimming. Hopefully we will take that this Saturday. So I will not be able to go to Bountiful Babes swim party.
We were told that the children are legal orphans and that we can start the adoption process once they have all been with us for six monthes. The older brother we have to adopt seperately if he can be adopted. They are a sibling set of four, but the court sees them as a set of three and a single child. Our goal is to have them all! We are going to work very hard to get that done. Even if we have to adopt the other brother, later on!!
