Here it is 2013! I guess the Mayans really did just run out of ink, huh? The world did not end and we are all still here! We have our typical New Year's Eve Dinner, Fettucini Alfredo and Steak. Yum! Rachel and ReAnna headed off after that to their New Year's parties and Rebecca waited for JJ to come pick her up so she could hang with her and her family. The rest of us stayed up all night and went to bed a few minutes after midnight. We slept until about 10 am and then we were up and doing things.
First thing Kaitlyn, Christopher and Amberlin did in the new year, was go to the neighbors yard and steal a bunch of his bricks to break in half. Great, huh? Just a perfect way to start off the new year. Needless to say we were not happy about that at all. So a new rule was implimented, they are not allowed to be anywhere in the yard where we cannot see them from the window. They wanted to know about the toys on the shelves and we said, I guess you can't play with them then, huh? Maybe they will learn their lesson here soon and be able to play with their toys again. Richard was not in the mood to even consider putting up the trampoline after the brick incident.
Maybe sometime next week, he will get it put up, but I really doubt it. The kids spent all day pushing their luck and not doing what we asked them to. Christopher was given a box to put in the recycle bin and he ran outside tossed it in the general direction of the can and ran inside. Not sure what is going on in their heads right now, but hopefully they will get it together and be better.
